Kasese Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Society (KACOFAS) Ltd, registration number P.6147/RCS, is a coffee farmers’ organization registered in 2016 with the registrar of cooperatives, with eleven primary collection centers and associations.
The purpose of forming Kasese Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Society Ltd is to have a collective voice for increased bargaining power through collective prose vices as well as a marketing and processing system that will enable coffee and vanilla farmers to fully utilize their potential and gain what is worth their effort in the coffee and vanilla value chain. We collectively produce and market good-quality Arabica coffee, green and cured vanilla.

The strategic objectives of Kasese coffee farmers’ cooperative society include:
a) To increase gross production margins from one percent (1%) to two percent (2%) in the next fourth years.
b) To increase capacity during the peak season from 2 tons per day to 10 tons per day by 2023.
c) To develop a network of 11 vanilla and coffee buying / collecting centers in the major vanilla and coffee producing areas by 2024
d) 50 by 50 Profit margins shared with farmers
